The following leagues are available at the Welland Curling Club:
Club Championship
Join this league as a team or part team (any combination of men or women age 14 and older) or as an individual. Teams are always looking for players.
Club Championship league starts the season with teams seeded into flights. Teams then play a round robin within their flight and points are awarded for wins and losses. The points accumulated in the first draw provides the flight seeding for the second draw round robin and then similarly for the third draw round robin. This system ensures that teams are playing against others of equal skill and keeps games competitive and fun. At the conclusion of the third-round robin, the team's total points will determine its playoff bracket. A Club Champion and Flight Champions will emerge and be rewarded.
Games are played Monday or Tuesday night at 6:30. Teams will generally play a mix of the two nights but every effort will be made to accommodate any team that is only available for one of the nights. Enjoy the challenge, rewards and the camaraderie with your fellow Club Champions.
